Lookin good

Well, our interview last night lasted 3 hrs and it didn't feel like that at all. TIme flew. We really enjoyed our conversation and the questions asked all around were appropriate and pleasant. I know that souds funny but there were no lulls in the conversationa and we were all on the same page. The church is ready for a new vision. Ready to minister and outreach and grow. It seemed like we had known these people for a long time. I ask that you continue to pray for FBC Sweetwater and for us and that all goes according to God's plan. I can really see us being there for a long time. Never would have picked that place on the map but am being pleasantly surprised. Phillip has a great feeling about it. We will probably have a couple more people come and listen to Phillip and then begin proceedings for in view of a call in the first of July, for a move in late July early August. Which will be great for Kaylee's school schedule. Phillip has told me I cannot start packing yet but we are definately excited about the possibilty.

Daddy Did It

Since our baby-sitter quit 3 weeks ago, Phillip has been primarily watching the girls. He was doing some work outside the other day and decided to keep the girls occupied by letting them paint. Needless to say the girls were occupied and he was able to get the trees trimmed. He said that Reese could hardly move because the paint had already started to dry and then she got real slippery so she was hard to hold. He hosed them down with the water hose, which Reese did not appreciate. The last picture is Reese having a blast with big balloons.

For those of you following our progress, say a special prayer for us on Tuesday as we continue the process with lots of Q&A with the committee. Also, Reese will have her VCUG on Tuesday, June 3rd and we have been told it is not a pleasant process. Hope you all have a great week.

T-ball

Phillip is coaching Kaylee's T-ball team thanks to me. I thought he was going to be the assistant coach but the head coach signed them up opposite and for good reason since he had to coach another team also. Thankfully, we have one more game on Monday. It has been an experience. Kaylee has enojoyed it throught the first innning and then she is bored. Same with all the kiddos really. It is hilarious to watch. They are finally getting the concept. They are doing great and I am sure it is because of the excellent coaching skills. :)

The girls are wrestling with Daddy. Something they thoroughly love to do. Now Phillip gets to wrestle both of them and they all have a blast.

Well, things are a changin'

Since my last post, Phillip has become the church secretary and our baby-sitter and the pastor. I have been training in my new job and think that I probably will enjoy it. At the same time, there may be some new opportunities for us coming in the very near future and we are really excited about the possibilities. We have registered for Kindergarten and Reese for preschool and we may have to do that all over again in a couple of months. Reese has started going to the preschool across the street on Tues/Thurs and that has helped. I am interviewing a girl hopefully this weekend for baby-sitting this summer. I of course am trying to shed a few pounds,as always it seems, and have been lucky enough to get to work out 5 days this week. I feel better but the scale remains the same. Does anyone else battle the scale?

We are so excited about what the Lord is doing in out lives right now. God is so good. He provides for all of our needs and even some of our wants. One of our favorite songs is Everlasting God by Chris Tomlin. It talks about Strength rising as we wait upon the Lord. Our God reigns forever. He never tires, gets weak, or faints with the stresses of this world. Our God is an everlasting God. WOW! Another dear friend of mine brought our attention to Bring the Rain by Mercy Me and I am actually singing it this week at church because it truly is the testimony that I want to live. I want to glorify God in all that happens to my family. Good or bad. It talks about rain and and it made me think of rain and how it can be something we dread but know we need and other times it is a most welcoming sight. Okay enough talking in circles. Have a blessed weekend!

Spring Wildflowers

I had a patient that had the most beautiful bluebonnets this year and last year. Both years I asked if I could bring out the girls to get their pictures taken at his house. They turned out beautiful again this year. Reese wasn't real happy until after we stopped taking the pictures and then she started playing. Go figure. The flowers are so beautiful and they come back each year which reminds me of how consistent our Lord is. Winter is the "depressed" time of year. It is dark longer. It is cold and most people wouldn't say it is their favorite month. But then...Spring comes in and the world is blanketed by beautiful flowers. I always love the bluebonnets but I also love the Indian Paint brushes in all of their colors. Really I love them all. God paints a beautiful tapestry that we get to call our earthly home.

And here is my little tumbler. I got this picture before I was reminded that I couldn't use a flash. That day we were told that Kaylee would be able to move up into the shooting stars program because of her love of gymnastics and talent. It is an invitation only program and her cousin Emily moved up as well.
