We are Alive

Well, ever since Phillip got back from Africa, we have been chasing our tails. We are working on some pictures and Phillip will be soing a presentation on his trip on Sunday March 12 at 6:30 at Frst Methodist here in Cisco. I have been working overtime eat work because both of the other 2 RN's have been calling in sick every day for the past 2 weeks give or take. Our whole family has also been under the weather but are beginning to see blue skies. We would also like your prayers as we are trying to follow God's will in our lives. You will have to email for details but we know God is working on a plan for us and we aare just tryng to listen well. I cannot believe that February is over and Spring is upon us. Kaylee is already asking to go swimming.

Passing in the Sky

Thank the Lord my beautiful husband has been brought home a far away land. He had not slept in about 40 hours but he never looked so good to me. Right before I saw him, his sister called and told me that his grandmother had passed away. I was trying to get someone to preach when he turned the corner. It was not the homecoming that I had pictured. It was like as he was landing she was taking off to her Home in the sky. Phillip is supposed to do the service. We are thinking that it will be a graveside on Tues around 2. We have so much to be thankful for: Phillip is home and well, the girls are well, we love each other immensely, and we have the hope of seeing Mama J again in heaven. God is SO good <>< All the Time!

Almost Home

Well, Phillip will be in Amsterdam around midnight and then to Detroit and then to Dallas to arrive at 525pm. Hip Hip HOORAY!! He left Nairobi at 210pm our time which was 1110 pm there time. He will travel for 27 hours. I hope he will be able to sleep on Sunday. However, Phillip's grandmother does not seem to be doing well and he may want to go to Sterling City on Sunday after church if she doesn't seem to be doing any better. Keep them in your prayers. Our prayer is that Jesus will go ahead and take her home.

I will post some pictures of Phillip's trip next week. Continue to pray for safe travel. Thanks!!

My apologies

I realize that I forgot the story for "Whiskers". Kaylee told Phillip that she would pay him to shave off his whiskers. She is afraid to kiss him with a scratchy face. Sorry for the forgetfulness. I have been a little crazy.

Kissing Daddy

Well we talked to Daddy last night. He seems to be doing well. He will be leaving Nairobi at 110pm our time on Friday. I am trying to get the details from Sudan. Reese found a picture of Phillip and just started kissing on it. It was so sweet. She was saying, Daddy." Kaylee asked if we would get to talk to Daddy tonight. Phillip sent me flowers today as he also did last week. He also sent the girls stuffed animals. He is so thoughtful and so precious.

I'll Pay You to Shave Your Whiskers

We got to talk to Phillip tonight and it ws so refreshing. So refreshing that I went out and painted the trim on the new addition on the house after I put the girls to bed. He said that he is doing fine. I forgot to ask if they are getting hungry but he said he is sleeping good. I was able to updat him on news at home and he said that everything is going well. He said that the Discovery Channel is coming on Thursday and he might be on it. He is going to a Eliphant and Giraffe sanctuary on Friday. Of course that is 9 hrs ahead of us. Pretty much, if your sleeping, he's awake and vice versa. He said that the first 2 days of travel were miserable but the rest has been really good. He says that it is very safe where they are at. So we are looking at 5 more days and he will be home already. Praise God for safety, peace, and the works He has acconplished.

Alligator Tears

I have had my phone with me and Phillip's actually 24/7. I don't really know why, I haven't been expecting any calls. We were told there would not be any. But last night, I went to the Casting Crowns concert and decided not to take my phone in because I wouldn't be able to hear it. The concert was good. I got into the car and checked my phone and there was a message. It was from Phillip. I had missed his call by 30 minutes. I sobbed...for forty-five minutes. He had also left a message at the house, so I sobbed again. He said he is doing fine, VBS is going well, the building projects are going well. He sounded deflated though. I am sure they had told them the night before that they would get to talk with their family the next day and were looking forward to it. Matt's wife, Sonda, missed it too. I could hear that he needed to hear from me just as much as I needed to hear from him. I am trying to pull it together and it was so good to hear from him. Only one more week to go. They did report that they are feeling the Spirit move and it has been wonderful to have the men there to minister to the boys. They are all building together and it has been blessed. Keep them in your prayers. They will be in Nairobi all day Thursday and will begin there journey home Friday night. They will arrive in Dallas at 525pm on Saturday. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
