Let the Little Children Come to Me

We have heard from the Sudan team via email from the director's husband. She talks to him for a couple of minutes every other day or so. I have gotten 2 emails and it sure blesses my heart when I read them. They are doing great. She said that this team has worked beautifully together and she can see the Lord work. However, she herself has gotten sick and has a stomach bug and runnng fever. There is a doctor with the team and so far the medicine has not helped. They have also said that the hyenas seem to be worse now and the boys still do not have protection. Last year 267children were killed by hyenas. That is one every 2-3 days. Unimaginable.

Kaylee and I made a Sudan chain (similar to the chains made for Christmas) to count down the day until Daddy returns. Every day we take one down and then I ask Kaylee what she misses most about daddy and then we pray. She has been precious. She misses Daddy taking her to be, wrestling, playing,ect... She told me today that she was going to meet him at the airport, take him to Taco Bueno, come home for dessert and then over to the church for a praise service for bringing her Daddy home safely. Reese prayed for the first time on Monday. Kaylee and I had prayed and then Reese closed her eyes and bowed her head and "spoke in tongues". I have no idea what she said but I know the Lord heard her and it was priceless.

The Lord has taken care of us. So far, knock on wood, we have all slept fairly well and the girls and I have stayed busy. The girls are going to Sterling City for the weekend and I plan to scrub the house.

Thank you for all of your prayers. All the Time <>< God is good

Flying High and Promised Pictures

Here is the cake I made for Kaylee's birthday and all the little princesses that attended. It was precious.

Kaylee as a shepherd in the Christmas program and Kaylee and Reese on Christmas Eve in front of the tree.

Phillip is now somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean headed to Amsterdam. It was so hard to let him go last night. I will miss him more than I can say. It is hard to wrap my head around the length of time he will be away. So far the girls are doing well. Its weird though because this has been the longest 5 hours since church and that is with an hour nap. I have a true peace in my heart that God will be bringing my best friend home to me and I know that I will be relying on His peace in the days to come.

11/10 Central

Well, our computer has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks or so. Updating the blog on the old computer was not appealing. I hope to post pictures soon. We are gearing up and counting down the days until Phillip heads to Sudan. I try not to watch the news much but it is hard. I am nervous and have a holy fear and at the same time am at peace with what God is going to do in the lives of the people in Sudan through the ministry Phillip is going with. I feel at peace that Phillip wilc come home safely and am also counting down the days until his return. If you are interested in being on Phillip's 24 hour prayer list there are numerous openings. The most difficult times for them will be from 12am-8am because they are 8 hours ahead of us. Pray for the girls also as they will miss their daddy greatly. I don't know how I will be without my best friend but I have a peace that God will keep things going. My step-mom's mom is in hopsice and it doesn't look like she will make it much longer and my step-sister is having a baby while Phillip is gone so I know there will be special family times coming up.

Now, for some funniness. Today Kaylee climbed up in Phillip's lap after watching cartoon and asked if she could watch a show that was going to be on 11/10 central. It was precious. Reese is beginning to talk more. Her favorite thing is uh-oh and she makes the funniest faces. Lots of things for Daddy to miss. I promise to post pictures this week amid the chaos.

We plan to have a send-off on Sat at 2:00 for anyone who wants to attend. We will be driving them to Dallas and they are spending the night with somebody who is going to take them to the airport on Sunday. Thir plane leaves at 8:30 and heads to Detroit and then to Amsterdam and down to Kenya where they catch a small plane to Sudan and then have to walk for about 20 minutes because there are few paved roads and actually no runway. I will keep things posted on the blog as I am able.

Thanks for prayers and the funds that you have sent.

Happy New Year

We are having computer troubles and I have so many pictures to put on the blog and I hope that they are not lost. We had a wonderful graduation and a womderful, blessed Christmas. Kaylee got a trampoline and has been on it every day since. We have had a blast. Everytime we try to get Reese off the tramp she shakes her head no. She actually shakes her head no at everything. We will ask he if we can have a kiss and she shakes her head no. The only time she doesn't say no is when we ask her if she is hungry and then she begins to bob her head up and down and dance. She is a hoot and a firecracker. She can throw tantrums like no tomorrow. We are preparing to send Phillip off to Sudan in just 26 days and I am beginning to miss him already. I have had friends tell me that their spouses have gone for a period of time and its kinda nice but for me it is different. When Phillip and I married we truely became one. We complete each other and I don't feel whole without him. I hate sleeping by myself, eating by myself, cooking by myself, driving by myself, watching TV by myself, you get the picture. I love my children,, but God gave me a husband to be my lifemate and complete who I am. As I sit here listening to him roar and woof with Reese reading a story my heart smiles. What a wonderful father and husband. Not only is my husband going to be gone for 2 weeks but he is going to a country that does not love Americans, where internal tensions are high and there is no technology at all. I am going to buy him a calling card so that he can call me immediatley after he sets foot on American soil. If you want to be on our update list and prayer list just drop us a line.
